City of Scottsbluff Police Department, a Civil Service Department, is accepting applications for the position of Police Patrol Officer (Entry-level or Certified).  We are seeking individuals with integrity who are committed to public service, dedicated and professional, with a willingness and compassion to work together with the citizen's of Scottsbluff to maintain a healthy and safe community.

Applications must be in the Human Resources Office by 4:00 pm, MDT, FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 2018.

Requirements:
High School Graduate (GED), at least 21 years of age, with no serious misdemeanors or felony convictions.  Testing will include physical fitness test as required by NLETC, written exam, oral interviews, extensive background checks and psychological interview.

Officers certified in Nebraska will be granted a lateral entry upon completion of FTO program (wage dependent upon years of experience).  Candidates certified in other states will be granted lateral entry upon successful completion of NLETC requirements for reciprocity certification and FTO.

All applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be invited to test.  Testing is scheduled for JULY 13, 2018 and includes a written exam, oral interview, and physical agility test.  The results of this process will establish an Eligible List certified by the Civil Service Commission.  Offers of employee are taken from the certified list.

Applicants must be eligible for admission to the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center (NLETC).
