Public meetings were held on November 16, 17 and 18, 2004, to discuss Scottsbluff Public Library's present and future space needs. Questions and comments from the meetings can be found below. Additional comments will be included as they are received. You may send comments to:

- Wal-Mart building (old)
- Smaller branches with one central library, this building could be used for a branch library
- Walking distance for school children (safe for them to walk)
- This location with branch libraries to the north
- Use this building for a Children’s library with park maintained for their activities. Move main library to old Wal-Mart or SunMart building
- Move the library to the Westmoor area
- Left right here, ideal location
- Build up (elevators)
- Library branch close to schools
- Partnerships with schools
- Hunt’s acre branch
- Bookmobile instead of branch libraries
- One facility
- Expanded parking
- Expand east on this lot
- More than one main door
- Relocate Government documents

- Better driveway and parking
- Trees and scrubs that shed leaves and blossoms not located near entry
- Trees that can be used to climb to the roof not located to close to building
- More parking spaces and better lighting for safety
- Motion light located near staff entrance for safety
- Ground lights illuminating ramps going to buildings and parking lot areas
- Limit types of light bulbs used
- Light covers should be open to keep bugs from collecting
- Carpet most areas if possible.
- Cords should be managed in some way to keep them together and off the floors
- Exhaust fans in restrooms
- Automatic flush toilets and urinals in public restrooms
- All areas should be handicapped accessible
- More storage space
- Larger staff work rooms
- Small meeting room for smaller groups with comfortable seating
- Larger meeting room for larger groups
- Storytime room
- Look at ways to use alternative sources of energy
