The Scottsbluff Police Department has a two man bomb squad, accredited by the U.S. Department of Justice, and Federal Bureau of Investigation. The two bomb technicians are certified and maintain proficiency with their provided equipment and attend yearly required training.  They are re-certified every three years at the Hazardous Devices School operated by the FBI.

The Scottsbluff Police Department Bomb Squad will respond to any suspicious packages, recovered or abandoned explosives, or possible improvised explosive devices (IED's).

You should notify the communication center (911 if emergency) or(632-7176 if non emergency) whenever you locate an explosive or suspicious substance and they will notify the appropriate individuals to handle the situation!

DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE ANY SUSPECTED EXPLOSIVE SUBSTANCE!!
