Bike
Licenses
Bike licenses are available at the police station at 2525 Circle Drive. They
cost $1 and are renewed each August 31st.
This allows the police department to keep a record of the serial number and
description of your bike in case it is stolen or lost. When bikes are recovered
we check the serial number against our bikes reported stolen and in most cases
we are able to notify the owner that they have been recovered.
There are many bikes that
are lost or stolen and never claimed each year. Therefore, we have an auction
when the number of bikes exceeds the storage space. If you are looking for a
bike at a very reasonable price, come to the Police Bike Auction.
