Get A Library Card


You do not need to live within Scottsbluff city limits to get a library card. LSPL never charges a non-resident fee, no matter where you live.
Your first library card is always free. Replacements for lost cards are $1.
To get a library card that allows full use of all the library's collections and services:
Applicants must provide a photo ID and proof of their current residential address.
Applicants must complete a borrower's contract and submit it in person at the library.

Children age 15 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to apply for their card. The parent or guardian must provide a photo ID and proof of their current residential address as well as sign as the responsible party for the child.
To get a temporary library card that allows limited check out and public computer use:
Temporary cards are an option for any adult patron that does not have proof of a permanent address. A photo ID is still required.
Applicants must complete a borrower's contract and review the Temporary Card Policy.
Applications must be submitted in person at the library.
