18th Street Plaza
The original concept of the18th Street Plaza was for it to be the premier community gathering space designed to host community events in downtown Scottsbluff. The Plaza has been the location for the Scottsbluff Farmer's Market, Bands on Broadway Summer Concert Series, Best of the West Beer and Wine Fest, and the Cinco De Mayo Celebration.The new plaza design will create a more welcoming space for current and future events. A permanent stage will be built in the northeast corner near the great lawn. The northwest area of the plaza will include fire pits complete with curved benches to provide additional seating.
Built in picnic tables and shade trees will be integrated along the southeast corner of the plaza and the newly designed park benches will be placed in various locations within the plaza. Both the Broadway and 1st Avenue entrances will feature a curved brick archway helping to define the plaza entrance.
