Get A Library Card

You do not need to live within Scottsbluff city limits to get a library card. LSPL never charges a non-resident fee, no matter where you live.

To get a library card that allows full use of all the library's collections and services:

Applicants must provide a photo ID and proof of their current residential address.
Applicants may complete an application in person at the library; or online applications may be submitted below and the card picked up at the library.
Children age 15 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to apply for, or pick up, their card. The parent or guardian must provide a photo ID and proof of their current residential address as well as sign as the responsible party for the child.

To get a temporary library card that allows limited check out and public computer use:

Temporary cards are an option for any adult patron that does not have proof of a permanent address. A photo ID is still required.
Applicants must complete an application and review the Temporary Card Policy.
Applications for temporary cards must be submitted in person at the library.

Lied Scottsbluff Public Library Borrower’s Contract

Library cards are available free of charge, however there is a $1.00 fee for replacing lost cards.
A current state issued identification card or driver’s license is required when picking up the library card.
If neither of these items are available, a photo ID along with one proof of current residential address will be required.
