supply that meets the health and fire protection needs of the City of Scottsbluff while adhering to local, state and federal regulations established for public water supplies.

Your Public Water Supply 
The City operates a water system that is supplied by 12 groundwater wells that are drilled to an average depth of 100 feet.  The combined pumping capacity of these groundwater wells total 14,100 gallons per minute.  The system has four overhead water storage towers which allow storage of up to 2,550,000 gallons of water.  The water distribution system is made up of approximately 100 miles of water main, 895 fire hydrants, 1,200 main valves and 6,200 service lines with curb boxes (property shut-off valves).
